Teen Hurt After Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver

LAKE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run accident that injured a 16-year-old boy late Tuesday night.

It happened on Kramer Street in Lake Township, just before midnight.

According to the OSHP, the teen was walking westbound, when a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction struck him.

The driver then took off, troopers said.

The boy was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Investigators have no description of the car or the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
