VERMILION, Ohio — As part of a nationwide investigation, the Lorain County Drug Force confiscated $1.2 million worth of PCP from a vehicle and storage unit in Vermilion.

According to Chief Deputy Dennis Cavanaugh, John Allen, 48, of Westlake, was arrested in November after a traffic stop during which police found one gallon of PCP in his vehicle.

After further surveillance, tips and information, police say they discovered a storage unit in Vermilion where two additional gallons of PCP were found.

Police did not make the bust public until now, said Cavanaugh, because the investigation was nationwide. He said police believe the supplier is based in California.

Allen will appear in court April 18.
