Most people don’t object to sex offender registries, where their names and photos are shown on the internet for all to see.

But what about drunken drivers?

Should there be a registry for them, too?

That’s what is being debated in Austin, Texas, right now, as the House Criminal Jurisprudence Committee considers a state rep’s bill, which would create such a database for people who have been convicted of an intoxicated offense.
