STEUBENVILLE, Ohio– A judge has been assigned to oversee a grand jury investigation into the Steubenville rape case.

Retired Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Patricia Cosgrove will preside over the grand jury.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine called for an extended investigation on Sunday. That’s the same day a judge found two teenagers guilty of the August rape of a 16-year-old girl.

The grand jury will investigate whether anyone else should be charged in the events surrounding the sexual assault.
