Reward Offered in Random Shooting Case

AKRON, Ohio — Summit County Crimestoppers is offering a reward in the case of a woman who was shot twice while driving in Akron.

Wylene Edwards is still recovering after the shooting happened last month. She was driving down Elma Street in Akron, when she saw two men walking in the road.

She flashed her lights to warn them, and when she drove past, one of them opened fire.

Crimestoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the shooting.

Edward recently met with First Lady Michelle Obama in Washington at a panel for survivors of gun violence.
