Terrifying helmet cam video shows the moment a skydiver from California passed out and plummeted to earth after his chute opened too early.

CBS San Francisco posted video from the man’s GoPro camera and it shows him talking about his equipment malfunction before losing consciousness at 13,000 feet.

Despite being unconscious, he survived and only sustained suffered broken ribs and a lacerated tongue.
He was airlifted to hospital, and on waking up two weeks later said: “The FAA said, ‘You are the luckiest man I ever met.’ ”
