STARK COUNTY, Ohio — An Alliance woman was found guilty of stealing donated clothes and toys from the Salvation Army Charity.

According to the Alliance Police Department, Karen S. Brandonisio, 59, was charged in December with petty theft after stealing items intended for needy families during the Christmas season.

Police say Brandonisio concealed clothes and toys in a bag and left the Carnation City Mall.

Brandonisio was sentenced to a $200 fine and six days in jail.

All the clothes and toys were returned to the Salvation Army in time for Christmas.
