4-Year-Old Child Removed from Meth Lab

AKRON, Ohio — Springfield Township police officers on Thursday removed a 4-year-old child from a hotel room, which housed an active methamphetamine lab.

Investigators say it happened at the Red Roof Inn on Arlington Road.

That’s where officers arrested and charged five suspects with various felony drug charges.

Charged in the case were: 39-year-old Yvette Ray, of Akron; 32-year-old Justin Delaney, of Akron; 40-year-old Jeffrey Guilliams, of Akron; 39-year-old Stacy Hervet, of Barberton; and 39-year-old Edward Hervet, of Akron.

All five suspects are being held at the Summit County Jail. They’ll like face more charges.

The 4-year-old child was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital for evaluation and is now in the custody of the Summit County Children’s Services Board.
