FAIRLAWN, Ohio — A nationwide charity is collecting one of the most needed, yet least likely to be donated items for women in need in Northeast Ohio.

The Soma Intimates ‘Restoring Dignity — One Bra at a Time’ Drive has collected more than 368,000 bras since it began in 2010. The nationwide collection will be featured locally at Summit Mall through February 14 to collect the bras. Organizers are accepting gently used or new bras for donations.

Though a nationwide initiative, each bra drive directly supports charities in the areas where the bras are donated. Soma Intimates also partners with the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), representing more than 2,000 shelter programs around the county.
