MEDINA– Claggett Middle School was put on lockdown Monday morning after a 22 caliber bullet was found in a hallway.

Local law enforcement, along with administrative staff, searched the entire building and found nothing additional.

Medina City Schools Superintendent Dr. Randy Stepp said students that went to Mohican today were taken off the bus and a thorough search was conducted. Once they were cleared, they departed for their Mohican trip.

Dr. Stepp said the individual responsible has not been identified.  The superintendent said the student(s) who inappropriately brought the bullet to school will face disciplinary consequences based on the findings.

All parents are asked to have conversations with their children regarding the dangers of bullets, guns and other paraphernalia.
