My Town: Lorain Library Hosts Free Tax Preps

LORAIN, Ohio — A local library is offering free tax return preparation services for qualifying residents.

The Lorain Public Library Main Branch is hosting the preparation events for those who made $51,000 or less in 2012. Volunteers from the Lorain County Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition will hold the tax preparation, which includes both federal and state income tax filing.

The events are being held on the following select days:


Saturdays: February 2 and 9 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Tuesdays: February 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Wednesdays: February 6, 20 and 27 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Also Feb. 13 from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.)


Tuesdays: March 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Wednesdays: March 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.


Tuesdays: April 2 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Wednesdays: April 3 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
