Man Hurt in Cleveland Apartment Fire

CLEVELAND — A man was injured after flames erupted inside an apartment on the city’s east side Wednesday morning.

It happened in the 1400 block of East Boulevard at around 3 a.m.

Firefighters responded there and located a man who had escaped the fire.

He was taken by Cleveland EMS to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he is listed in serious condition.

Officials did not release the man’s identity.

Fire investigators are looking in to what caused the blaze.
