AVON, Ohio — The Salvation Army opened a brand new Family Store in Avon on Saturday.

The community celebrated the opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.

The grand opening created 30 new jobs, and revenue from the store will support the Salvation Army’s Rehabilitation Center.

The 27,000 square foot store will sell bargain-priced clothing, household items, electronics books, toys, furniture and other items.

The store will be solely supported by donations to the organization.
