2 Firefighters Hurt Battling Blaze

AKRON, Ohio — Two firefighters were hurt while battling a house fire early Saturday.

According to the Akron Fire Department, the two fell through a hole in the floor during the fire at 111 Alfretta Ave.

Akron fire Capt. Al Bragg said the firefighters suffered injuries to their knees, but those injuries didn’t appear to be serious.

The fire was reported at around 4 a.m. Reports indicate no one was in the two-story home at the time of the fire.

Damage to the home totals about $30,000, according to reports.

The fire is still under investigation.
