Vomiting Virus Behind Recent Outbreaks

A new strain of norovirus, that causes vomiting, was responsible for recent outbreaks in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Yahoo reported that last fall, 53% of norovirus outbreaks were caused by the new strain.

The CDC said it’s too early to tell whether or not the new strain will cause more outbreaks this season. New strains usually emerge every two to three years.
