Report: Star Wars VII Has a Director

Ever since Disney bought Lucasfilm and announced it would revive the “Star Wars” movie franchise, Hollywood and fans have been buzzing about who would be picked to direct “Episode VII.”

According to TheWrap, J.J. Abrams will take the lead of the iconic film franchise.

Members of the media and industry executives have used Abrams’ name when talking about director possibilities for the movie. But, Abrams told Entertainment Weekly back in November that he wasn’t going to take the job.

Successful space movies are nothing new to Abrams. He directed “Mission: Impossible III,” “Star Trek” and “Super 8”.
