My Town: ‘Sip and Sample’ Wine, Food for Good Cause

AKRON, Ohio — Hundreds of guests are expected to eat food from more than 20 area restaurants and enjoy drinks from 70 global wineries, all while raising money for a good cause this month.

It’s part of the 16th Annual Red & White on Thursday Night set for 5:30 to 9 p.m. January 31 at Quaker Station at the Quaker Square Inn in Akron.

The event will benefit the Arthritis Foundation, Great Lakes Region, Northeastern Ohio.

It will include a silent auction, wine bottle raffle, Las Vegas dice roll games and the “Key to a Cure” live auction.

Restaurants like Bricco, Crave and The Lockview will serve food at the event, and wines will be provided by places like Bowling Green Beverage, Glazer’s Distributors and Gregory Graham Wines.
