LORAIN, Ohio — A Lorain school custodian is on paid administrative leave after authorities say he was caught driving drunk and possessing cocaine.

Lorain Police pulled over 56-year-old Lee Bramwell after noticing his vehicle swerving and traveling at high speeds near Day’s Dam Park, at 4:45 a.m. on December 2.

According to the police report, Bramwell failed field sobriety tests, and had a blood alcohol content of .142.

Police say they also discovered a bag of cocaine in the pocket of his pants.

Bramwell was arrested and cited for possession of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless operation and open container.

Lorain Schools Superintendent Tom Tucker says Bramwell was last assigned to Hawthorne Elementary School, and is now on paid administrative leave. Tucker says Bramwell may face further punishment, pending the outcome of the case.
