LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio — The Lorain County Children’s Services has announced it is laying off several employees.

Ten case aides, two file clerks, one confidential secretary and one case worker supervisor will be let go on February 15. Their official layoff notices will be issued on Friday.

The LCCS says no case worker positions will be affected in the layoffs.

The cuts follow a $3 to $4 million loss in state and federal funding for LCCS. Another $700,000 was cut following local property reevaluations.
