Police: Man Drove with Kids in Stolen Car

AKRON, Ohio — A man was arrested Monday morning after being stopped in a stolen car with his two children unrestrained in the back seat.

It happened just before 11 a.m. at Frederick Boulevard and Bellevue Avenue in Akron.

Akron police say Akili Woodard, 23, of Akron, was charged with receiving stolen property and child endangering. He was also found to be driving with a suspended license.

Woodard’s two young children were asleep in the car. They were not restrained in car seats, according to police.
