DANBURY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A local man survived one car accident, and then survived another accident on the same day on Jan. 4.

Authorities say Robert S. Wisniewski, 79, was the passenger in a 2001 GMC Sierra pick-up truck heading eastbound on E. Bayshore Road when a 1995 Ford Ranger pick-up lost control, crossed left of center and hit them head on.

The driver of the GMC Sierra was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Wisniewski was treated for minor injuries in the crash. This second crash occurred as he was leaving the hospital after being involved in a previous car crash earlier in the day.

The driver of the Ford Ranger pick-up truck was not injured in the accident.

Both trucks sustained heavy front end damage in the collision.

The Sandusky post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, however it is believed icy roads caused the crash.
