GREEN, Ohio — The Summit County Sheriff’s Office believes alcohol played a role in a deadly car accident.

It happened Friday around 1 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-77 near Wise Road in Green. The car went off the highway and rolled through a fence before it came to a stop in a field.

According to the sheriff’s office, 44-year-old Stacey Juniel, of Akron, was driving the Buick Park Avenue. The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office said he was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.

Three others inside the vehicle were also ejected. They were taken to Akron City Hospital. Their names and conditions are not known.
