BATH, Ohio — A woman driving with her three children was arrested for OVI after she crashed on Christmas Eve.

Officers responded to the one car accident on West Bath Road around 6:45 p.m.

According to the Bath Police Department, Lisa Teter, 43, said she slid off of the road because of slippery conditions.

Ofc. Mike Gabel said he was the first officer at the scene.

"At that point I noticed the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her. I inquired from her if she had anything to drink that evening. She stated no," Gabel said.

Gabel issued three standard field sobriety tests and said she did poorly on all three. Her blood alcohol content was .216, he said.

"They were on their way to grandpa's house who lives in the township of Bath,"  Gabel said.

Teter was arrested for OVI and also charged with child endangering.

The children in the car were 7, 8 and 12.

During the crash a mailbox was knocked over and a tree was damaged.
