Snow Alert: Blizzard Warning Issued

CLEVELAND — A Blizzard Warning has been issued for much of the Fox 8 viewing area effective from 7 a.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday.

The Winter Storm Warning has been canceled.

Accumulations will be 8 to 12 inches region wide. This is not a lake effect event but a general snow starting Wednesday morning and continuing through early Thursday morning. Winds will gust to 40 miles per hour late Wednesday and early Thursday.

If traveling, you may wish to reconsider and make some alternate plans for earlier or later depending on your destination. Flights will be delayed and canceled due to this snow.

In Cuyahoga County, officials are warning residents to prepare today for the storm. Cuyahoga County Executive Ed Fitzgerald is encouraging residents to stay informed and be prepared.

Officials suggest:
– Ensuring your vehicles are fueled up
– Stocking emergency supply kits
– Picking up loose debris in yards
– Bringing animals and pets in from the cold
