Engine Fails on Plane Taking off at Hopkins

A flight out of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport had to turn around right after takeoff, when one of the engines failed.

It happened just a short time ago.

Airport officials say American Airlines flight 1295 was taking off, heading to Dallas-Fort Worth, when the engine failed.

They were able to land safely.

139 passengers and crew were on board.

No one was injured. Passengers are waiting to be put on another plane.
