LAKEWOOD, Ohio — A local emergency room nurse has been indicted in a murder-for-hire plot.

Police say Andrew Martin, 23, of Bristolville, Ohio is charged with one count of use of an interstate commerce facility in the commission for murder-for-hire. The indictment against him alleges on November 5, Martin used a telephone with the intention that a murder be committed.

He was arrested November 9 while working at the Cleveland Clinic.

An affidavit states Martin was involved in an ownership dispute with Lakewood resident Joy Comey over a property on Clifton Avenue. It also states Martin solicited a Cleveland Clinic patient to murder Comey, and Martin allegedly requested the murder appear to be a robbery.

Martin’s next court appearance is yet to be determined.
