Suspected ‘Spy Cam Coach’ Enters Plea

CANTON, Ohio — The former high school coach accused of hiding cameras in the boys’ locker room appeared via video arraignment in the Stark County Court of Common Pleas on Friday.

Scott Studer, 46, entered a plea of not guilty and will remain in jail on $2 million bond.

Neither Studer’s attorney nor the prosecutor would offer any comment.

The Jackson Twp. High School freshman basketball coach and building aide submitted his resignation shortly after his November arrest.

According to investigators, more than 70 victims have been identified.

Studer faces eight second-degree felony charges of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material/performance.

If convicted, he faces eight years and a $15,000 fine for each of the counts.

A pretrial hearing was set for Dec. 13 at 1:30 p.m.
