MASSILLON, Ohio – The Irish didn’t need any luck to tame the Tornadoes. Four-time OHSAA State Champion, Akron St.Vincent-St.Mary destroyed Dover 48-13 in the Division III State Semifinals to advance to next Saturday’s title game.

Quarterback Clayton Uecker completed 12 of his 16 pass attempts, but it was the Irish power running attack that buried the Tornadoes.

St.Vincent-St.Mary (12-2) ran for almost 350-yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. Junior tailback Paris Campbell, Jr. did most of the damage, racking up 150-yards and four touchdowns.

Not to be outdone by his backfield mate, senior Mike Pruiett ran for more than 130-yards and one score.

While the Irish offense was outstanding, the defense was just as goo, forcing three turnovers and converting all three into touchdowns.

With the win, St. Vincent-St.Mary improves to 12-2. The Irish have won five straight since a disappointing loss to Massillon on the same field that Saturday's game was played on. StVM will play Bellevue (13-1) in the Division III State Championship Game next Saturday, Dec. 1 at Canton Fawcett Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11:00 a.m.
