Body of Missing Duck Hunter Found

BAZETTA TWP. Ohio — Search crews found the body of a missing duck hunter hours after a boat flipped Saturday morning.

The body of Daniel Khalil, Jr., 35, was found on the shoreline of Mosquito Lake in Trumbull County more than a mile from where his boat sank.
The body was recovered about an hour later.

According to the Bazetta Twp. Fire Department, it happened around 6:45 a.m. on Mosquito Lake in Trumbull County.

Two other hunters were pulled from the water and treated at St. Joe’s Hospital. They were released at approximately 4 p.m.

Shortly after noon, the search for the missing hunter was concentrated in the area of the water near Main Street in Cortland.

Khalil was a Pittsburgh native who recently moved to Ohio.

The accident is still under investigation.
