Serial Bank Robbery Suspect Busted

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio– The man wanted for seven bank robberies and one attempted bank robbery has been taken into custody by Shaker Heights police.

The FBI says the suspect, 39-year-old Kevin Walcott, was arrested Wednesday morning, trying to rob the PNC Bank on Chagrin Boulevard in Shaker Heights.

Bank employees alerted law enforcement by pressing the bank alarm button while the subject was inside the bank.

Police say Walcott was quickly taken into custody, along with a female who is accused of assisting him.

The suspect is known for wearing a powdery substance on his face during the robberies.

He’s being held at the Shaker Heights Police Department and is expected to be charged in federal court on Monday.
