After seven years of marriage, NASCAR driver Danica Patrick is divorcing her husband.

Danica married physical therapist, Paul Hospenthal, when he treated her for a non-racing injury.

The couple married back in 2005.

Patrick made the announcement about their split on her Facebook page earlier this week.

She posted to her fans the following, “I am sad to inform my fans that after 7 years, Paul and I have decided to amicably end our marriage. This isn’t easy for either of us, but mutually it has come to this. He has been an important person and friend in my life and that’s how we will remain moving forward.”

Patrick made her name on the IndyCar Circuit. She recently completed her first full NASCAR season.
