Bomb Plot Suspect Wants to Change Plea

AKRON, Ohio– A fourth suspect accused of trying to blow up the Route 82 Brecksville-Northfield High Level bridge withdraws his guilty plea.

35-year-old Anthony Hayne was supposed to be sentenced Wednesday, but instead his attorney filed a motion to withdraw his guilty plea.

The judge continued the sentencing until November 30, to give government attorneys time to respond to the motion.

Three other suspects were sentenced Tuesday.

26-year-old Douglas L. Wright was sentenced to 138 months in prison, 20-year-old Brandon L. Baxter was sentenced to 117 months and 20-year-old Connor C. Stevens was sentenced to 97 months.
