AKRON, Ohio -- Two families will have a lot to be grateful for come Thanksgiving day.
On Sunday, both received keys to their new homes from Summit County's Habitat for Humanity.
"I'm overwhelmed," says Julie Valentine, whose family got one of the homes, "the whole process is amazing."
Summit County's Habitat chapter has now dedicated about 170 homes in 25 years.
The second one dedicated on Sunday now belongs to Yvonne Woolridge's family.
"It gives my daughters the opportunity to have a home to call their own," she says, "a place where they can run, laugh, jump, and do what children do without worrying about anything else."
An army of volunteers help raise the money and build the homes.
Each dedication comes with the presentation of a Bible, the house keys and prayers.
One of the prayers includes the phrase, "Lord, we thank you for the minds, the bodies, and the souls who have built this home."
And two more homes have now been built - just in time for Thanksgiving.
