PARMA– Firefighters battled a blaze at the Parma Theater on Ridge Road, Friday evening. They say it broke out in the lobby area around 5 p.m.

The owner of an adjoining business discovered the fire after hearing crackling. The fire was put out quickly and the damage was limited to the lobby.

The Parma Theater was closed for good on Labor Day, but there have been efforts to get it reopened and restored.
