Shot Teen Dies After Crash on Way to Hospital

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 17-year-old male was shot in the neck and died after being involved in a crash on the way to the hospital Sunday.

According to Cleveland police, the shooting happened around 1 p.m. in the area of East 93rd Street and Empire Avenue. Police said the teen was shot by an unknown suspect.

He was helped into a Pontiac Montana minivan, and the driver was on their way to the hospital when he hit a Chevrolet Corsica in the 12000 block of Chesterfield Avenue.

The gunshot victim passed away at the scene, said police.
