DETROIT -- Middle schoolers in Detroit are being punished for a food fight.

Bethune-Fitzgerald Middle School is not serving them lunch all week.

The principal sent a letter home to parents, explaining the situation. They are now expected to bring their own lunch for the week.

175 students were involved in the food fight.

Some parents are angry. But others believe it will teach students a lesson, saying they'll "think twice" before wasting food.
