CLEVELAND — Issue 2 has been overwhelmingly voted down in Ohio.
The amendment would have reshaped the state’s congressional and legislative redistricting process.
The redistricting process is currently drawn by the Ohio Apportionment Board with members including the one state legislator from each party, the secretary of state, the auditor and Ohio’s governor. These officials draw boundaries for the state’s 16 House districts.
Districts are redrawn every 10 years to coincide with the Census.
