WILLOUGHBY, Ohio — Police are looking for a man who suggested he had a weapon when he robbed a Willoughby business on Saturday.

According to Lieutenant Jim Schultz with the Willoughby Police Department, the man made his move at 3:55 p.m. at the Tye Dye Sky Boutique in the Freeway Plaza on Vine Street.

The man walked up to the front counter and handed the clerk a note, which allegedly demanded all of the money from the cash register and suggested he had a gun.

He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Lt. Schultz said the man is likely in his late 30’s, 5’06” to 5’08”, 170 lbs., with facial hair on his cheeks and chin.

He was wearing light blue denim jeans, a black jacket with a light grey hooded sweatshirt underneath, and a black knit ski cap with a horizontal red stripe.

After getting the money, the man walked out of the store and was believed to be on foot, as there was no vehicle seen.

Before entering the store, surveillance video showed the man walking toward Tye Dye Sky Boutique from the area of Vine Street and East 364th Street.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
