CLEVELAND — She lives in Cleveland on TV; now she’s visiting in real life.

Actress Valerie Bertinelli, star of the hit sitcom “Hot in Cleveland,” is in town to promote her new cook book, “One Dish at a Time,” and meet with fellow Global Cleveland Board Members.

Global Cleveland is an economic development program designed to connect newcomers to opportunities in the region.

“When people think about Cleveland they’ll think about, like a really thriving, beautiful city that people can come to and live and enjoy, and I know I enjoy it every time I come here,” Bertinelli said.

Her husband, Tom Vitale, is a Cuyahoga Falls native and also serves on the board.

Bertinelli, a healthy eating advocate, is the face of the Jenny Craig Weight Loss Program and has written several books including “Losing It,” which was a New York Times #1 bestseller.
