Firefighters Battle Blaze at Walgreens

CLEVELAND — Firefighters battled a blaze at a Walgreens drug store on the city’s east side Sunday evening.

The fire began shortly after 9 p.m. in the store’s cosmetics department, setting off a Triple-two alarm. East 65th Street and Broadway Avenue were closed as crews worked on the fire.

The fire has since been put out.

The cause of the fire is being investigated. It is unknown how many employees were in the store when the fire broke out, or if any customers were in the store.

It is also unknown if anyone was injured in the fire.
