WAYNE COUNTY, Ohio — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of their own.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Sergeant Mike Maxwell passed away Sunday morning at his home.

He was diagnosed with cancer three years ago. At first, he thought he had a food allergy, but he quickly learned that he had B-Cell Lymphoma.  Sadly, after several treatments including chemotherapy and stem cell replacement, doctors told him they had done all that they can.
