WILLOUGHBY, Ohio — Kareem Hunt looks like the favorite to win Ohio’s prestigious Mr. Football award, but a feisty Chardon defense found a way to slow down the All-Ohio running back Friday night… at least for one half.

Hunt racked up more than 200 yards rushing for the sixth time in as many games, but the Hilltoppers held him to just two touchdowns on the ground. However, the runnin’ rebel exploded in the second half, running over, around and through a frustrated Chardon defense, as South win a hard fought game, 35-14, to take command of the Permier Athletic Conference race.

South improves to 6-0, 3-0 in the PAC with the win, while Chardon slips to 5-1, 2-1 in conference. Both teams are still in the mix for playoff spots in their respective regions.
