Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding with Godiva Liqueur Whipped Cream



  • 1 ½ dozen * day old* glazed donuts cut into sixths
  • 2 c. Heavy whipping cream
  • 2 c. Milk
  • ½ c. Sweetened condensed milk
  • 10 large egg yolks
  • 2 large eggs


Whipped cream:

  • 1 c. Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 ½ tbs godiva chocolate liqueur


** day old donuts work best, even 2 days old.

But…. If you are using fresh donuts, cut or tear up into sixths and spread on baking sheet uncovered for most of the day. Then, proceed.



Preheat oven 350

Butter a 9×13 baking dish.

In a large bowl whisk 2c. Heavy cream, milk, condensed milk, eggs and egg yolks.

Add donut pieces to baking dish. Pour egg and cream mixture over top. Cover with foil and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Remove from fridge, give the donuts a gentle stir, recover with foil.

The pudding is baked in a water bath. That means you will have to set baking dish inside a larger pan, like a roasting pan, and fill with enough water to come halfway up the side of the baking dish.

Bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and cook another 20 minutes.

Carefully remove from water bath and prepare whipped cream.


Whipped cream:

Whip cream on high until soft peaks begin to form. While whipping, drizzle chocolate liqueur into cream. Be careful, if you whip the cream too long, you will make butter.

Serve pudding with whipped cream.
