WELLINGTON, Ohio — A horse that had been missing from the Wellington area since late September has been found safe.

“Bogey” was spotted Sunday night in a backyard along Route 20 in Oberlin, his owner told Fox 8 News.

A homeowner lured him with food and contacted the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office. He was later returned to his Hughes Road home, where he had escaped the pasture gates.

Bogey’s owner says he was in decent shape: a little skinny, but otherwise OK.

The family had offered a $1,000 reward for Bogey’s return.
