FOX 8 is saying goodbye to a longtime member of our family.

After 14 years of hard work, Dan Jovic is leaving Northeast Ohio to pursue an opportunity at KTAL-TV in Shreveport, Louisiana.

There, he'll serve as morning anchor and provide occasional reporting both on-air, and online.

Dan's wife, Jacque, is also joining the team! She's signed on to become the station's evening anchor.

The move, according to Dan, is a wonderful new chapter for the entire family. Dan and Jacque's children, 8-year-old Danielle, and (soon-to-be) 6-year-old D.J., are excited, too!

The Jovics say they've found an excellent school for the kids. They also love their new home!

But this transition is a bittersweet one, or as Dan puts it: "It's tough, but it's time."

That's why we had Jacque, D.J. and Danielle surprise him on his last appearance on Fox 8 News at 9 a.m., where he reported "The Download" segment.

Fahrenheit Chef Rocco Whalen also dropped by to whip up one of Dan's favorite meals!

It was an emotional send-off for the man we affectionately dubbed "Cyber Dan" because of his countless contributions to

Dan also appeared as an integral part of Friday Night Touchdown for four seasons.

FOX 8 would like to wish Dan and his family the best of luck in their new adventure!
