WESTLAKE, Ohio — A suspected drunken driver bit a nurse, broke her finger then threatened to sexually assault and eat people, Westlake police confirmed.

The bizarre incident happened in the early morning hours of September 14 at St. John Medical Center.

Westlake police were called to a bar on Center Ridge Road after a car struck one of the walls. Officers later found the suspected drunken driver, 22-year-old Christopher Warner, at his home.

He was arrested on DUI and hit-skip charges, but it didn’t go smoothly.

According to Captain Guy Turner, Warner resisted officers and threatened to rape their female relatives. He then passed out long enough for officers to take him to St. John’s.

That’s where his antics took an even more disturbing turn.

Warner is accused of biting a nurse and breaking her finger. He also allegedly made more graphic threats towards medical staff, saying he’d commit sex assaults, kill or eat their family members.

“He was placed in restraints after ripping the IV out of his arm and spitting blood at the medical staff and officers present,” Turner said.

Warner spent the night in the hospital for mental observation.

In addition to the DUI, he faces charges of driving under suspension, and felony assault.
