Elyria Police Investigating Possible Child Luring

ELYRIA, Ohio — Elyria police are investigating a report of possible child enticement Tuesday.

The incident occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Barbara Street and Garden Street.

A boy told police he and a friend were waiting at the bus stop when a man in a vehicle asked if they wanted candy. The boys ran home, but returned to the stop a short time later and reported the incident to the bus driver.

Elyria police were called, but were unable to find the man. He is described as a black male in his 30s driving a white vehicle. The man had braided hair and a beard, and was wearing a black shirt and baseball cap.
