GREEN, Ohio – Two high school soccer teams will face off on the field to Kick for the Cure.  The Green High School teams will take on the North Canton Hoover teams on Saturday, September 29 at Green Memorial Stadium. The real winners will be this year’s beneficiaries of the charity soccer game, Stewart’s Caring Place and Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The inaugural event was held in 2007 to honor Shawn Basone, wife of Green Soccer coach and middle school teacher Jeff Basone.  She lost her battle in 2008 but the event continues to honor her and others affected by cancer.

Kick for the Cure activities begin at 1:00 p.m. and include 50/50 raffles, prize drawings basket raffles, carnival games, music, food, dunk tank, face painting and special performances.
