Man Dead, Another Hurt in East Side Shooting

CLEVELAND — A man is dead, another wounded after a shooting Sunday night on the city’s east side.

According to Cleveland Police Sgt. Sammy Morris, it happened just before 9 p.m. in the 900 block of Nathaniel Road.

Morris says 24-year-old Rondell Vinson, of Euclid, and 26-year-old Steven Commack, of Cleveland, were walking down the street when a car drove by and fired several shots at them.

Vinson was hit in the leg and taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.

Commack was shot in the chest. He was taken to Euclid General Hospital, where he later died.

The suspect vehicle fled after the shooting.
