Man Hurt in Mobile Home Explosion

NEW FRANKLIN, Ohio -- Neighbors as far as a quarter mile away reported feeling the blast of a mobile home explosion in Summit County.

According to a fire investigator with the New Franklin Fire Department, it happened around 9:30 p.m. on East Buddy Street in New Franklin.

One mobile home was destroyed and two others were damaged after an explosion and fire in New Franklin.

When fire crews arrived, neighbors were helping to rescue an elderly man from inside the home.

He was taken to the hospital and his condition was not immediately known.

The fire destroyed one mobile home and damaged two others.

Investigators were working to determine the cause.
